ESG

Environmental

Allsop have experience of guiding our buildings through BREEAM, most recently on behalf of Barings at Vox “Very Good” and The Keel “Very Good”. We have worked with a number of client consultants and understand that simple operational changes can result in a more favourable score.

Recycling and waste management monitoring is common place as is the reporting of landfill avoidance and reduction in carbon footprint. We monitor energy usage across all of our assets and are able to funnel this information into wider monitoring initiatives that clients might utilise including pan European initiatives. Many of our clients operate Green funds including Aviva and Barings and as such any advice provided on design of amenity during mobilisation would also take that into account.

Allsop have also recently put the Lark through a Fitwel application and have gained 2 star accreditation.

Social

Allsop’s H&S track record is excellent providing our clients with peace of mind and expert opinion.

  • We manage all compliance and PPM items for our clients ensuring that they are completed at the frequencies defined in British Standards and Regulations.
  • We offer a ‘Golden Thread’ application on our health and safety management software which gives a live view of compliance on a client-accessible dashboard.
  • We handle ‘Mandatory Occurrence Reporting’ ensuring the BSR is notified should there be a reporting requirement.
  • We also produce ‘Building Safety Case’ reports ensuring that our clients continually achieve compliance with their PAP duties under the Building Safety Act 2022.
  • We offer a full service of compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022 through the lifecycle of a building (while in contract).

Additionally, we are the first operator in the UK to form a Primary Authority Partnership, via sign-off from The Secretary of State, with a Regional Fire Brigade, and as such we now have access to specialist advice from the regulator which can be applied across all of our buildings.

Allsop’s people are what make us special. Our reputation of being a friendly and compassionate firm extends to all employees within the firm, their families, and the wider community. As part of our approach, we contribute towards charitable causes and play an active role within the communities around us and further afield where practical. We also run our business with due deference to conserving energy and natural resources. We do this through the CSR Group which ensures that the policy is implemented on a daily basis during the course of everyday business practice.

The CSR Group is managed by the Performance Management Group which meets quarterly and is always open to new ideas and initiatives. The Community Allsop is committed to giving back to the communities in which we work and this is especially important where we manage buildings that are a community within themselves but also should be contributing to the wider community they reside within. At a corporate level, we achieve this through a number of schemes.

We are supporting LandAid Charitable Trust, a charity that helps to protect young people on the streets, provides accommodation and training as well as tackling the root causes of homelessness. LandAid invests over £1 million every year in projects working to end youth homelessness.

The Pat Allsop Charitable Trust: This was set up in 1993. Each year the Trust makes several donations to support charities that benefit children, further education, and the alleviation of poverty. The firm and the Trust together make regular donations including supporting Unicef, Shelter, Barnardo's, the International Justice Mission UK, London Children's Ballet, MacMillan Cancer Support, and others.
